Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has announced new measures against CSCS Construction Related Occupation (CRO) Card.
In July 2014, CSCS has introduced the new CSCS Green Labourers Card which has replaced the old Construction Site Operative Card
Since then, most of beginner construction workers in the UK has applied for a CSCS CRO Card, being the easiest alternative of the new CSCS Green Labourers Card, Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification not being mandatory for this particular card.
CSCS has decided to stop issuing all CRO Cards from 31 March 2017 and most importantly, all CRO cards issued from 1st October 2015 will expire on 30th September 2017 and are not renewable, with only one occupation on the back of the card.
All construction workers which currently hold a CRO Card will have to register for relevant NVQ qualification already endorsed on the back or apply for Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
Construction Development Centre delivers fast-track Construction NVQ Courses for most requested trades and we organise weekly venues at our training centre for Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course.
You’ll have to attend the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course. In addition to that, if your CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test has expired (is valid for 2 years), you will have to book that test too.
What CDC will do for you:
• Register and assess your needed qualification
• Schedule your CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test
• Apply for your new CSCS Card
